Job profiles

Employers 11.1%

  • 85,1% of their businesses are formalized
  • 18,2% consider formalization to be a complicated and costly process
  • 20% is mainly dedicated to retail trade

Dependent 42.7%

  • 76,9% work under formal contracts with subscription to the Social Security Fund
  • 13,7% work in informal employment relationships, without a formal contract
  • 10,6% face open unemployment, highlighting the challenges in finding employment

Independent 46.1%

  • 18,2% are engaged in commercial sales, this being one of the most common occupations in this group
  • 29,7% do not issue invoices due to customers’ preference not to receive them
  • People aged 18 to 30 earn on average B/. 738 monthly, while those aged 31 to 40 receive B/. 1,177 per month
